You are cordially invited, at the request of the Pioneer Branch Library, to enjoy a traditional Victorian Afternoon Tea on Wednesday, November 15 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm.  The practice of afternoon tea, started in Britain during the Victorian Era. At that time it was common to only eat two meals a day, breakfast and dinner. Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford complained of “having that sinking feeling” during the mid-day, and found that having a pot of tea with a light snack solved the problem. The trend quickly spread throughout the country and became the time-honored tradition it is today!  You too can take part in the Afternoon Tea at the library! If you would like to attend please RSVP by calling 419-737-2833. The Pioneer Branch Library is located at 106 Baubice Street.
