Tour de Book

Sponsored by United Way of Williams County in conjunction with Williams County Public Library and Montpelier Public Library the Tour de Book Bicycling Event will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014.  This will be a 75 mile bicycle ride beginning at Bryan Library and traveling to every public library in Williams County. 
 
Registration begins at 8:00 am at the Bryan Main Library and the tour starts at 8:30 am. Libraries on the route will include: Bryan, Stryker, West Unity, Pioneer, Montpelier, Edon, and Edgerton.
 
Riders can also ride from Bryan to Montpelier, or Montpelier to Bryan, which is the length of 10.5 miles one way, or 21 miles round trip. This ride will also start at 8:30 am. Funds raised by this event will benefit the United Way Imagination Library, Williams County Public Libraries, and the Montpelier Public Library.
 
Rules for the event are as follows.
  • Both teams and individuals are allowed to participate.
  • Riders must be 18 or older to ride the entire 75 miles.

Movie Day in Stryker

On Wednesday, August 13th, the Stryker Branch Library will be showing the movie “The Little Rascals Save the Day” from 1:00 to 2:45 pm. When the Rascals discover that their grandma’s bakery is about to close, they decide to raise the money needed to save the business. The gang tries everything from pet washes to a taxi service, yet nothing seems to go right. In a final attempt to raise the money, the Rascals sign up for a local talent show, but have you heard Alfalfa sing? This movie is rated PG and popcorn will be provided.

Megan Spengler to hold a Book Signing at the Stryker Library

Author Megan Spengler, a Napoleon native, will be holding a book signing at the Stryker Library to promote her recently published book, Revenge at Camp Tepeki on Tuesday, April 29th from 6:00-7:00 pm.
 
            Revenge at Camp Tepeki is the sequel to Mrs. Spengler’s popular novel Operation Wrinklesteen. The books follow the adventures of young Abby Rivers and tell of the life lessons she learns along the way. In Revenge at Camp Tepeki Abby is annoyed at being sent to camp, and things only get worse when Noah, the person who betrayed her trust, shows up. Yet when Abby learns of a mystery at the campground she quickly sets about solving the case. Filled with twists and turns, along with valuable teachings on friendship and forgiveness, Revenge at Camp Tepeki is a fun and exciting read.
