Decorate Valentine Cookies in Stryker

Will you be making cookies for Valentine’s Day?  If you are and you’d like to learn how to decorate them, Jessica Tingley will be teaching a class on this topic at the Stryker Branch Library on Monday, February 10th, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  The class is free and open to the public, but registration is required and class size is limited to 25.  Participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Meet Author Jim Head in Stryker

Come meet author and treasure hunter Jim Head, who will be holding a book signing for his latest publication Hidden Treasures in Secret Places, at the Stryker Library on Tuesday, Feb. 4th from 5:00-7:00 pm. The book contains valuable tips on modern day treasure hunting techniques, such as metal detecting, which can be used to discover ancient relics and priceless artifacts. Filled with research and 20 years of personal experience by Mr. Head, this book will have you fascinated from beginning to end as you uncover the mysteries of treasure hunting. So don’t miss the opportunity to get to know an adventurous author and to purchase your very own copy of Hidden Treasures in Secret Places, signed by Jim Head himself. The library will be providing snacks and refreshments for this program.

Anti-Bullying Program at Stryker

On Monday, February 24th, Stryker Police Chief, Steve Schlosser will be doing a presentation on Anti-Bullying at the Stryker Library. The presentation will run from 5:30 to 6:00 pm, with a question and answer session following. A light supper will then be served up until 6:30 pm. Parents are not required to attend with children, but are encouraged to, as this program will benefit the whole family.

Community Christmas Movie Night in Stryker Library

 The Stryker Library will be holding a Community Christmas Movie Night on Tuesday, December 10th at 6:00 pm. You’re invited to come and watch, The National Tree  which tells the story of teenage boy, Rock Burdock, whose tree is chosen to be planted outside the White House. In order to deliver the tree, Rock and his father must take a road trip from Oregon to Washington D.C. which brings them closer together. A heart warming tale, this family-friendly movie is a must see for all ages.

Senior Citizens Christmas Tea in Stryker

The Stryker Library will be holding its annual Senior Citizens Christmas Tea on Friday, December 13th from 10:00-11:00 am. Come out and enjoy a time of good food and excellent company with entertainment being brought to you by the Stryker Kindergarten classes, who will be performing Christmas carols and sharing holiday poems for your enjoyment. Registration is required as there is a limit of 25 spaces available for this event. Stop in to the library or call ahead to reserve your spot today.

Stryker Christmas Open House

You’re invited to the Community Christmas Open House at the Stryker Library on Monday, December 2nd from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Come join the fun and be greeted by Larry and Lilly, the library lions. You’ll be sure to get into the holiday spirit as you listen to live music, take part in fun crafts and drawings, and enjoy the delicious refreshments, all provided for by the library. You will also have the opportunity to meet the real Santa and Mrs. Claus! So make sure you stop out and take part in an evening filled with laughter, friends, and Christmas cheer.
